Developed by Game Freak and Omega Force and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Pokopia released March 5, 2026 exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. It is one of the franchise's most ambitious spin-offs and was built to mark Pokémon's 30th anniversary.

Resident Evil Requiem takes a real risk by not choosing one tone and sticking to it, instead giving players two protagonists with completely different relationships to fear and letting their stories unfold side by side. This is a risky structural approach, and mostly it works, since the horror and the characterization are not separate elements in this case. They are in fact the same element, just seen from two different points of view.

The release of Square Enix's Octopath Traveler 0 was unusual since, instead of being entirely new, it is a revised version for console and PC platforms of Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, the studio's 2020 mobile gacha game, with its microtransactions removed and the title redeveloped as a premium single-player RPG. The game was launched on December 4, 2025, for the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and acts as a prequel to the original Octopath Traveler; the risk taken in converting a mobile game into a full console release has mostly been successful.

Square Enix is ending the Erdrick Trilogy with the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, combining the first two games in the series into a single package for the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Like the excellent Dragon Quest III remake released last year, this new release features the same stunning HD-2D graphics, improved turn-based combat and quality-of-life enhancements such as adjustable battle speed and auto-battle, along with new content including a completely explorable underwater world in Dragon Quest II.
