Artist to Watch: iAMLYRIC

iAMLYRIC aka Lyric Michelle dropped a new joint off in early July called "Broken Barbies." A new lyric video for the track was uploaded yesterday and, as of writing this, currently has 75 views, and her TikTok has 571 followers. But I have a feeling that will soon change.

The track is almost sinister in the way that the beat creeps in as Lyric's vocal performance slyly slinks about the composition. And yet the bars hit like a gut punch plotted in pure precision.

I know little to nothing about her, but this music and video feels like Black high art; Black expression set in a kind of unapologetic foundation that I'm sure people will catch on to years from now.

But...idk...there is something special about this particular artist...
