redveil & JPEGMAFIA Bring Chaos In “black enuff”

redveil and JPEGMAFIA have issued their first collaboration with "black enuff." "Black enuff" is built upon hard-hitting drums and a distorted horn sample produced by redveil, showing off the range of the young DMV upstart.

The Manny Madrigal-directed visual finds the two men wilding out in front of a Pan-African Flag, thrashing a drum set, and berating what appears to be a tied-up police officer. The chaotic number features two verses from the two rappers, with each bar confronting deep-seated critiques about their race and generational trauma.

“You get charred if you step in my range/So you might as well stay in the cut/I ain't Midas, but stain what I touch," redveil raps. "I ain't hiding, I came in to crush, bi**h/Who told that black boy had to hate himself?/Who told my sister she ain't worth a cent?/Grin on my face from watching crackers melt/Stand on that sh*t, boy, I cannot pretend/Ni**as ain't spilling tears when karma dealt/I'm just gon' play a little violin/I ain't gon' water down just for some wealth, bi**h."

While the track isn't part of a bigger project at the moment, JPEGMAFIA recently dropped a collaboration project with Danny Brown. The hilariously titled SCARING THE HOES was released on March 24, 2023, and featured only one guest verse from redveil across the LP's 14 tracks. Stand out from the album include the redveil-assisted "Kingdom Hearts Key" and the rambunctious "Burfict!"— which sounds like a distant relative of the Wu-Tang Clan family tree.
