Alex Kirkwood - Art Piece
Alex Kirkwood — photographer, fashion extraordinaire, and hiking enthusiast — has remerged as a budding emcee, and his latest video is an ode to his many passions.
Kirkwood delivered visuals for his new single "Art Piece" on Thursday (Dec. 15), showing the artist live from the "City of Love" getting to it, and getting fly. Beautiful shots of the Eifel Tower act as a backdrop as Alex poetically spills his heart over production from Camouflage Monk.
He rhymes about his knack for getting flee while also maintaining an essence of devout humbleness in the face of his new spiritual awakening. In a brief word about his latest track, the Buffalo-based artist spoke about his desire to reenter the world of music and how his career in media informed that decision.
"When I first started making music, I felt like my interests were all over the place. I knew I'd have a passion for media, music, fashion, and art," he told In Search Of Magazine through an IG message. "However, I didn't know how to pull it all together."
"After pursuing media as a career path and it allowing me to travel the world, I started experiencing so much in my lifestyle alone that it inspired me to pick back up the mic — I realized my story won't tell itself."
In his mission statement, Alex Kirkwood declared for whom he's truly doing it for: "people that can relate to relaxing, healing, getting fly, falling in and out of love and getting money."
