Introducing Nadine El Roubi, an Afro-Arab singer/songwriter devoted to deeper self-love — a brand of empowerment that has caught fire within the newest generation of Neo Soul creatives. I have to admit when I first stumbled upon her music, my curiosities were tugged, intrigued by the artist's gentle mystique. And now we're here.

Her inaugural project, Triplicity, a 5-song EP, is produced, mixed, and mastered by Egyptian producer Kubbara. The diverse collection of songs features sounds from Trap and Boom-Bap to R&B but mainly finding a home in Neo-Soul.

Upon closer listening, one begins to understand that Triplicity mainly exists as an exhibition of Nadine's versatility; she’s an artist, admirably diving head-first into her passions.

On the newly released project, her music is akin to a Tibetan singing bowl; Nadine's lyrics across the EP work best when her affirmations strike like calming meditations. When she's in her bag, tracks like "Say So" and "Honey Butter" allow the listener to grasp a fleeting mental and spiritual relaxation, whether in an upbeat groove or a chill vibe.

Regarding the new project's messaging, El Roubi stated she wanted to present her authentic self for Arab women "regardless of the consequences."

"I want people to know that being an African, Arab, or Muslim woman is a complex, multi-dimensional identity that isn't performed identically across the board," the "Honey Butter" artist expressed. "I want to be the voice Arab women hear and think, 'I can be just as bold, regardless of the consequences.'"
