$hun - Selah.
$hun's newest track, "Selah.," dropped on Sunday (August 14) and serves as the latest single from his forthcoming EP, The Most High. The track follows the spitter discussing the gospel from his bold point of view: loyalty, fly kicks and trusting yourself in the face of adversity.
He aims at his demure opposition with a lyrical tirade, warning competition to approach his pen with caution. At other moments on the track, he uses his sermon to decry mortal dread, declaring we all gotta die, so why not keep it player until that time comes.
"These of Fear of Gods/but I don't fear at all," $hun assuredly spits on the three-minute offering. "We stand tall and keep it G/until our name is called."
You best get familiar if you don't know who $hun is. He's amassed a following on his socials through clever maneuvering of Instagram's sneaker and hat collecting communities while using his gift of gab as his soundtrack.
The Houston-based emcee/entrepreneur/sneaker-head is one of the hardest spitters in hip-hop's underground scene right now. And his latest effort is evidence of that sentiment.
With "Selah." also comes the announcement of Gawd's upcoming EP, The Most High, set to hit the digital streets on August 28. The rapper previously revealed his upcoming project with the release of his bar-heavy and exuberant July 2022 single, "Champagne."
