Ju Ju Watkins has secured an NIL deal ahead of the March Madness tournament. On Tuesday (Mar. 19), Nerd Wallet revealed that the USC Freshman phenom partnered with the finance company. As a part of the new deal, Watkins will work closely with the personal finance to manage her bank account.

Dubbed the "smartest NIL deal ever," the company wants to empower Ju Ju to build a financially stable and secure future. Her contract states that she must make a NerdWallet smart money decision. Watkins will then have to share the details of her contract publicly to provide total transparency about her journey.

Ju Ju Watkins offered a quote to In Search Of about her decision to partner with NerdWallet. She said the move was essential to "level up her game." "Teaming up with NerdWallet is a thrilling and natural move towards securing my financial future. NerdWallet puts the ball in my court by offering the guidance and tools to help me invest in myself," she expressed.

"Instead of just handing me the bag, @nerdwallet taught me how to be smart with it…introducing the Smartest NIL Deal EVER. This contract ensures I'm using my money in the smartest way possible, like using NerdWallet's budgeting tools to ensure that I'm set for the future," she added days before the "unique" deal was announced.

Elsewhere, Watkins is gearing up for her first March Madness tournament. Ju Ju Watkins and the No. 3 USC Trojans women's basketball team will face the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders in the first round. According to ESPN, USC was officially christened the No. 1 seed in this year's tourney and currently has a 99.0% chance of beating the Islanders. USC and Texas A&M CC battle on Saturday (Mar. 23) at 4:30 EST.
